| The Safe Schools/Healthy Students Framework Tool was created over the past twelve years based on the experiences of SS/HS
grantees and evaluations of the Initiative. The Framework can be used as a planning process and tool to guide the development of the SS/HS comprehensive plan,
assuring that appropriate services and interventions will be identified. The SS/HS Framework has three components: the SS/HS Elements, Strategic Approaches,
and Guiding Principles. Used together, the three components assist with the identification of strategies and services for each of the five SS/HS Elements that
link to the strategic approaches and guiding principles.
